Building Confianza: Voices, Lessons and Actions

Building Confianza: Voices, Lessons and Actions

Join Health Confianza and our partners — South Central Area Health Education Center AHEC, Southside Collaborative WestCare Texas, YWCA San Antonio — for a day of interactive learning, networking, and celebration.

In its fifth year, Health Confianza is a health literacy initiative housed at The University of Texas at San Antonio Health Science Center that has built a dynamic community of partners, professionals and supporters. Many of our partners have participated in one or more of our health literacy programs, including the Pledge Program, Ambassador Program, Community Health Club Program, ECHOs, Community of Practice and Confianza Conversations.

Now, through this health literacy summit, we are bringing our community and future partners together to reflect on impact, celebrate success, strengthen networks and share resources with an eye on planning for what is ahead.

Summit Objectives:

  • Reflect on our collective impact and celebrate successes
  • Strengthen networks and share resources
  • Peer-based learning sessions on topics ranging from organizational health literacy to fundraising and preventive health communication to community health clubs.
  • Plan for what’s next – Confianza Collective
