Health Literacy Resource Highlight: Tips for Talking about Children’s Health 

 San Antonio, TEXAS — Parents and caregivers of children, especially those with special needs or chronic illnesses, can find keeping up with medical appointments and complex information overwhelming.

With that in mind, the health communication experts at Kennedy Krieger Institute, located in the Baltimore-Washington D.C. region, created a series of resources and videos to help parents prepare for medical appointments. The institute also offers tips on communicating with healthcare providers during and in between appointments.

Kennedy Krieger provides hospital programs, outpatient clinics, home and community services, education, and research for children and adults with neurological, rehabilitative or developmental needs.
